Happy Spring! Thank goodness, the days are getting longer.

It was quite a cold and wet winter. Are you ready for Spring blossoms, Mariners baseball, Sounders soccer, Festivals and outdoor activities? I certainly am.

On the Sports scene: The Seattle Mariners baseball team are in Spring Training, and certainly have to be better than they were last year. It is also nice to have Griffey on the administrative staff and helping out.

I expect to see Ichiro bringing his consistant base hits and accurate throws, Figgins with long at-bats, amazing base running and third base acrobatic catches, Gutierrez bringing his "death to fly balls" and Felix with his lights out pitching.

There are also a lot of new faces on the team, including new manager, Eric Wedge. Keep an eye on new designated hitter, Jack Cust. I hope that Jack and Milton bradley bring a little more "pop" in the lineup this year. I would sure like to see some contributions at the plate from Justin Smoak, Michael Saunders and Matt Tuiasosopo. The pitching staff looks outstanding with felix, Vargas, Fister, French, Pineda, Bedard and League. Relief and closer pitching was a serious weakness last year that I pray has been improved.
